For the next 31 days I will read Proverbs 31 and allow it to transform my life as I read it each day. It is true that two people can look at the same thing yet see something different. As I do this over the next 31 days I will share what I see in the verses and what it means to me. If you would like to join me and share at anytime what your getting out of the reading feel free to share on here or you can email.
Day 1 - Wow! Are you serious, who can be like this woman? She sounds like she doesn't get any sleep and she works non stop for everyone else. I need rest after a long day of cleaning, but she sounds like she goes on forever. Am I inspired by her? Honestly, at times yes I am, other times I feel like I'm competing with someone who didnt have the demands that us women have today.

I Am Like Water
It is the ocean waves that remind me of my strength
The cool shower that reminds me of my soft touch
I am powerful, I can take down walls, I can break through barriers
I can clean the body, nourish the soul
Children enjoy the fun they have with me
I produce growth to those around me
I hydrate
I appear clear and unseen
I splash with excitement or hidden shock
I stream into the deepest sea
And I continue to rise

Day Old Coffee
It might be me, but I love day old coffee. In case you have that ewww gross look on your face, yes I do keep it refrigerated. But it's something about day old coffee that is so tasty to me. It might not appear to be the freshest thing, but to my taste buds it holds something special.
Maybe age is a great thing if aged right and cared for. The refrigeration shows I took care of it, milk of course would spoil if not refrigerated and so the nurture I gave this coffee was excellent. Heating it up the next day brings that warm feeling back to my taste and fills my body. So the preparation I gave it before it fulfilled its purpose was pleasing to us both.
I guess what I'm thinking here in the moment of drinking my day old coffee is, things sometimes are better with age, as long as they are cared for during the aging process.

I Have The Time
Do you ever wonder why you have the time to watch TV, post on Facebook, surf the Internet, gossip on the phone, etc? Yet when it comes to doing things that are going to move us forward in life we seem to say "I have no time to read, study, write, exercise, etc". Why is it so easy to do what we shouldn't? I believe God made us this way. He wants to see who is eager for the blessings and who just sits around making excuses. What if your blessing was in the flip of the next page, the step of the next exercise routine, the script in the next workbook your studying. So many times we give up when the blessing is right there. I encourage you not to be hard on yourself, but be faithful to yourself, even if you have to be faithless to something else.
Every Monday I give myself a task to complete. I name it at the beginning of the week and I tell myself each day how proud I am to have made it through the day keeping my promise to myself. One week I choose no TV another week I chose mirror affirmations, another week I chose no Facebook for the week, etc.
What can you do without next week? Choose it and then daily remind yourself how much self control you have and how proud of yourself you are. Because at the end of each day, it is ourselves who controlled our day.

Butterfly
The butterfly...
still as beautiful as the day it first found me broken...
It shared a story of caterpillar days
and then taught me about wings
I'm flying...
I can't speak for the one that taught me flight

Dear Little One
Dear little boy, you are loved, soar like the white dove, your pain shows in your look, knowledge on the things you've took... Dear little boy you sit so at peace with thee, smiling knowing your free, we love here and we accept, we heal where you neglect... Dear little boy may God shield you, appearance has you stumped below, so we clothe you to understand and know... Dear little boy you hug so sweet, prayer is where your name stays on repeat...

I Lost My Pen
I lost my pen
On purpose you see
Because I needed to speak
I lost my pen and crumbled my paper
I had to speak this out loud
Just when I noticed how much you watch rather then listen
I decided to pick up my pen again
I uncrumbled my paper
For I waist nothing
Not even my voice to someone who watches more then they listen
